Because our life has been so chaotic lately, with building the house, living 20 minutes out of town, and the usual craziness of having 2 small kids, we had hoped to celebrate Garrett's birthday in our new house after we moved in. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way. We hadn't moved in yet, but we did have working potties (most importantly), and a few working faucets, plus electricity. So... we had Garrett's 1st birthday party at the house tonight. I made brisket, brought potato salad, bread, and beans. Gran and Drew made the cake and Nana decorated it. It turned out great!
Garrett loved eating all the food. He isn't too interested in feeding it to himself, but when someone will spoon feed you everything, why bother? So he chowed down on BBQ, potato salad, beans, bread, and cake. I finally cut him off, much to his dismay.
He enjoyed opening his packages, though Drew enjoyed it the most. He had fun playing with Cousin Shelby who came, while Drew played with Cousins Colin & Daylan. Aunt Laurin, Gran, Daddy Pete, Nana, Paw-paw, Gran-Gran, Aunt Kim, Mommy & Daddy attended. We all enjoyed it!

Love, Nana
Shelby enjoyed it and can't wait to get together again! Happy Birthday Garrett!
